New Software

Harriet K & Philip Pumerantz Library now has Nvivo, Endnote X6 and SPSS installed in computers in the library.  Endnote X6 and SPSS are present in all the computers (first, second and third floor) while Nvivo is installed in five computers on the second floor computer room and one computer on the third floor computer room.  Affiliated users can use the second and third floor computer rooms.  Affiliated users are currently enrolled students, staff and faculty of WesternU, alumni, clinical and adjunct faculty, and OPTI-West residents.

EndNote X6 is bibliographic management software that will help you collect and organize citations. Nvivo is qualitative data analysis software, and SPSS is quantitative data analysis software.

The librarians can provide expert level training in EndNote X6, introductory training in Nvivo and have no training in SPSS. The librarians recommend WesternU users login to the WesternU YOUPortal, https://you.westernu.edu, and then navigate to Lynda.com for SPSS training.

For any questions, please contact the library at reference@westernu.edu
